BeYoutiful Bath Bombs

BeYoutiful Bath Bombs is a local shop that provides all things bath and home. They are most famous for their amazing bath bombs. Recently they have decided to overhaul their own website with updated professional product photography. They became Personal Branding Members of mine back in October of 2021. We built their membership around their needs as a product based company. Their membership consists of six professionally styled product shoots over the course of one year, along with four personal branding shoots.

I worked with Carly Hira of Panda Pacific Designs to style and shoot this Valentine’s Day themed collection. My favorite part of product photography is making my clients products so visually appealing consumers want them just because they look pretty. The bonus is that when they purchase BeYoutiful Bath Bombs, the product is amazing and speaks for itself.

Carly designed several different scenes for the bath bombs, candles and bubble bath that we had to shoot. BeYoutiful Bath Bombs is a vibrant and colorful brand and we wanted to be sure our styling and photography matched that vibe. She brought in lots of reds and pinks to stay on theme of Valentine’s Day and use many different textures to elevate each individual product to be the center of the shot

I like to use different compositions for product photography so your eye is really drawn right to the product itself and not anything else in the photo. I want all the styling to be background to the product itself. I like to use a shallow depth of field to blur most everything else. Product photography like any other kind of photography is all about the light. Using the light to really highlight or emphasize each product. BeYoutiful Bath Bombs has a lighter and brighter vibe, so we wouldn’t go super dramatic in the lighting, but really even and bright. In this shoot we let the natural window light work for us in each shot.

I am thrilled with the outcome of this product shoot and better yet, BeYoutiful themselves loved it. That’s what it’s all about, creating something both you and your clients love. My number one tip for the best product photography, find a photographer you love and trust. That is when the magic happens.
