West Desperado

West Desperado is Shaley’s Instagram handle, but it’s also her brand. The West Desperado brand tells a story of what western fashion looks like right now and what it can look like in the future.

Shooting with Shaley is unlike any other shoot there is. She is a professional through and through. The creativity that flows during a shoot is unmatched to anything else I’ve ever experienced.

This specific collection was a collaboration between Tucker Brown Boutique and West Desperado. It dropped just in time for the NFR this year. The sequins and sparkles were out and about for the entire duration of rodeo week. It was all the glitz and glam you could imagine and it was right up my alley.

Shaley has a unique take on western fashion. She loves the classic feel of boots and jeans with the modern twist of big patterns, bold colors and bright sparkles. She isn’t afraid to try new things. She’s bold in her risks and blessed in her rewards. West Desperado has changed the western fashion industry for good.

Shaley is a champion of all cowgirls, from generational to first timers. She believes there is space for all. One of my favorite things about Shaley is she is incredibly kind to everyone she meets. What you see on social media is what you get in real life. Whether you’ve followed her for years or you’re new to her page one thing is always very clear, Shaley is a helper. She loves to encourage new influencers in the industry; she constantly posts tutorials on how to edit a photo or put a reel together, and she’ll track down any belt, hat or outfit she’s wearing even if it’s from the archives. She genuinely loves to help people.

This whole gallery is jaw dropping. I’m honored every time I get to shoot with Shaley. Her creativity pushes mine. I enjoy the challenges we put before ourselves when we work together. She takes personal branding photography to a whole new level.
